FY27 BUDGET CALENDAR
01/12 - Memo to all departments regarding budget requests
02/13 - All budget requests are due for insertion into the Draft County Budget.
03/20 - School Board’s budget request due to the Board of Supervisors.
03/27 4:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold forum to hear requests of departments, boards, authorities, commissions, and agencies.
04/17 3:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold work session to review the draft of the FY27 budget. Location: Administration Conference Room
04/20 (Online) - Legal Ad to appear in the local paper and/or online news for FY27 Tax Levy.
05/05 and 05/18 (Print) - Legal Ad to appear in the local paper and/or online news for FY27 Tax Levy.
05/26 5:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold a Public Hearing on the proposed FY27 Tax Levy at Regular Meeting.
05/28 (Online & Print) - Legal ad to appear in the local paper and/or online news for FY27 School Board and County Budget.
06/05 4:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold a Public Hearing on the proposed FY27 School Board and County Budget.
06/23 5:00pm - Board of Supervisors to Adopt the FY27 Tax Levy, School Board and County Budget at Regular Meeting.
06/29 - Approved budget figures will be sent to each respective Department.
07/01 - FY 27 Budget to be implemented.
* Adopted by the Board of Supervisors at the January 2, 2026, meeting. Amended on January 27, March 24, and April 28, 2026. Budget calendar may be amended as needed. All meetings and work sessions will be held at the Bland County Courthouse unless otherwise noted. *
