FY27 BUDGET CALENDAR
01/12 - Memo to all departments regarding budget requests
02/13 - All budget requests are due for insertion into the Draft County Budget.
03/13 - School Board’s budget request due to the Board of Supervisors.
03/27 4:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold forum to hear requests of departments, boards, authorities, commissions, and agencies.
04/10 4:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold work session to review the draft of the FY27 budget. Location: TBD.
05/01 - Legal ad due to local paper and/or online news providing notice of a public hearing on the FY27 School Board and County Budget.
05/15 - Legal Ad to appear in the local paper and/or online news.
05/26 5:00pm - Board of Supervisors to hold a Public Hearing on the FY27 School Board and County Budget at Regular Meeting.
06/05 4:00pm - Board of Supervisors to adopt FY27 School Board and County Budget by way of resolution.
06/15 - Approved budget figures will be sent to each respective Department.
06/23 5:00pm - Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting.
07/01 - FY 27 Budget to be implemented.
* Adopted by the Board of Supervisors at the January 2, 2026, meeting. Budget calendar may be amended as needed. All meetings and work sessions will be held at the Bland County Courthouse unless otherwise noted. *
