The Bland County Service Authoritywill hold a public hearing at 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Bland County Courthouse in the Courtroom for the purpose of soliciting public comment on the Authority’s newly proposed water meter rate and off-site sewer rate structure. Any new rates will become effective January 1, 2019.  An outline of the newly proposed water rate structure is as follows:

¾” Residential Water Meter Connection Fee

$1,300.00

2” Commercial Water Meter Connection Fee

$5,000.00

Offsite sewage collection from Bland County Residents on a private septic at a rate of $35.00 per 1,000 gallons and Non-resident in the amount of $45.00 per 1,000 gallons for disposal only.
