Due to the dry weather conditions, there is an extreme risk of fire danger in Bland County. County officials, in coordination with the Fire Department Chiefs, have declared a local state of Emergency and issued an open-air burn ban. The open-air burn ban is effective, Tuesday, November 7, at 1:47 p.m.  The ban will remain in effect until conditions improve. At which time a notice will be sent out.
