Tax Due Date and Treasurer's Office Extended Hours
2024 Bland County Real Estate and Personal Property taxes are due on Thursday, December 5, 2024. To avoid lines, we encourage citizens to mail in their payments, drop payments in the drop boxes at the courthouse, or pay online (now with a free payment option) at billpay.bland.org.
Payments mailed and postmarked up to, and including, December 5, 2024 will be honored with no penalty or interest. Payments made after December 5, 2024, will incur penalty and interest per Bland County Ordinance and Virginia State Law.
If you have questions regarding your tax bill or assessment, please contact the Commissioner of the Revenue's Office first at 276-688-4291. The Treasurer does not have the authority to abate or alter tax tickets.
As a courtesy to Bland County residents, the Treasurer's Office will hold extended office hours for the following days for citizens who wish to pay in person:
Monday, November 25, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Tuesday, November 26, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Monday, December 2, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Tuesday, December 3, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Wednesday, December 4, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Thursday, December 5, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Friday, December 6, 2024: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
