Residents in downtown Bland are under a boil water notice because of a busted water pipe.

The notice is in effect for the next two days as crews work to repair a busted water pipe.
Residents in the town of Bland should either use bottled water or boil their tap water for one minute before drinking or cooking over the next two days.
Also: water used for washing fresh fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, or other ready-to-eat foods should be boiled or bottled water, and a two-step sanitizer procedure should be used for washing food utensils (wash in warm soapy water and sanitize in a room-temperature bleach or quaternary ammonia sanitizer solution before using for food-contact) restaurants and school kitchens in the affected area should not use unboiled tap water for making coffee, tea or other beverages
